On Sabbath, 18 June, we will celebrate the ordinances of Humility and Communion. This service represents God’s ultimate act of self-sacrifice, enabling Him to offer us the greatest forgiveness possible, the forgiveness of our sins. As we prepare for this sacred service, search your hearts and see if there are areas that need to be reconciled to God’s will or if we need to be reconciled to one another. There is never a better time to consider these matters then when in the shadow of the cross, God’s greatest act of forgiveness.

World Day of Prayer for Children at Risk is scheduled annually on the last Sabbath of May. This year it will take place on Sabbath , 28 May 2016.
Thousands of children around the world are at risk. Many face abuse, neglect, trafficking to other countries, hurt and much more. Children at risk need to be protected and helped so that they can use their God-given talents to their fullest. They need our prayers.
You can have special prayer groups or a special program to involve your church, young and old in creating awareness of the need to pray for these children.
If you are interested in some ideas we are linked with VIVA organization that organize every year a special weekend for children at risk. Here is the website address: www.viva.org. VIVA publishes also a prayer booklet each year for anyone who would like to download it. It’s a good resource you can use. They are also translated into many other languages. Go to: http://www.worldweekendofprayer.com/
Let’s encourage our children and members to get involved in this special day, interceding for other children at risk around the world. Thank you for sharing this information with your counterparts so they can support this special worldwide prayer day.
God bless you as you continue nurturing children as God’s children and being prayer partners with them for other children. -
